I'm looking for free alternative to AVG, because since the last update for some reason it blocked my internet access (anyone else had that problem?), long story short I was without the net, I finally figured out why but couldn't fix it, I got pissed off and uninstalled it. So what anti-virus programs are you using now guys?

I used to use... avast, it has a completely free home edition.

try turning off the firewall function of AVG, I found that solved most of my problems with it, as for alternatives, I have no idea

Well, for anti-virus I use Avast (though its said that Avira is even better).
For anti-spyware I use SUPERAntiSpyware and Spybot - search and destroy.

These three apps always manage to catch a damn lot of things.

I had free version of AVG so it didn't have the firewall. But it must have been AVG since after uninstalling it I have no problem with my internet.

No. Clicking on spam links with funny url which doesn't even take you to funny blog but fake dA page and asks for user name and password is a really stupid idea.

I'm surprised by the amount of people who fell for it.
